movin' on up
tomorrow begins my 30th week.
crazy how fast things have started to speed by. i really cannot believe i'm down to the last ten, or, in soren's case, it was 12. but hopefully this lil' guy will make up for that lost time. i have a feeling he'll come early. wishful thinking? we'll see.
i cannot put on shoes without some amount of discomfort.
sleeping at night is a hit or miss--take tonight, for example. it's nearly midnight and i'm completely restless. usually, though, my sleepless nights are due to discomfort. the big belly wakes me up every time i turn over. plus, it's a little frustrating to only have two possible sleeping positions. i shouldn't bitch, i have ten more weeks of this.
my toes have long since disappeared.
but i'm getting excited. okay, and a little anxious...how will it all go down this time? will i be in labor 23 hours again? will my husband be the support i need? i'm sure all will be fine once it's said and done.
my daughter becomes more and more affectionate toward my husband and i and the baby inside my tummy. it's so cute, she loves to lift up my shirt in public and show off her baby brother to whomever might take interest (usually it's other three-year-olds). she kisses him and tells him she loves him all the time. i can only hope this attitude will continue after he arrives and needs much coddling and feeding and other sorts of attention. i think she will be great.
speaking of, we registered her for preschool last week. see, there are all sorts of milestones going on that keep reminding me that i'm getting older. i just hope a little wisdom is coming with this age, otherwise, what's the point?
i do get a nice break this next week, though, while my step-mother-in-law takes soren for an entire seven days! she's meeting me halfway between here and grand junction to take the squid. they will, surely, have fun, and i'll get a rest! it will be much appreciated, though i will miss the kid. then she's back for easter and she and justin turn around and get on an airplane to oregon. i'm hardly going to know what to do with myself.
any suggestions?
