the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes 'awww!'

good news for people who love good news

i was going to add this to the last post, but i think it needed a spot all its own.

we heard the baby's heartbeat last friday. yup, it's there and sounds healthy. it was beating so fast! we all walked out with smiles on our faces, including soren.

she doesn't fully understand what's going on, though. we explained to her that it was the baby's heartbeat and what the heart does. later at breakfast, j asked her if she wanted to hear his heartbeat. she enthusiastically agreed, and put her ear up to his chest. when she heard it, she proclaimed, "daddy, you have a baby in your tummy, too!"

i'm starting to feel better, more like myself, though at present writing i'm actually a bit queasy. but in general it's better. i have more energy, feel yucky less and less, and am starting to sleep better. this is a very good thing.

    Hope you guys have a great day today! Hopefully it will feel like Thanksgiving! (But I know what you mean.) Thanksgiving will see me sitting on the couch doing my school projects and Sarah sleeping as late as possible.
