the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes 'awww!'

and in other news

okay, is it me or, does it not feel like turkey day tomorrow? i don't know what to do about it...it's my favorite holiday and it's going to come and go like it never existed. i need to get in some serious thanksgiving day mood...any suggestions? normally a nice glass of red would fix this, but seeing as how i'm laying low on the drinking for now...i'm fresh outta ideas.

on a better note, i am THRILLED to announce that i am only $245 away from earning my trip to the bahamas. basically, i've done it, because i'm still waiting on several orders from people. and even if they flaked, i'd spend the $245 to go to the bahamas for 5 days, 4 nights, getting there and staying there essentially for free. i am SO....DAMN...EXCITED. i cannot take my husband, which is the only lamentable fact in this story, but to be honest, i'm kind of excited to have some me time. i mean, REAL me time, not like, hey, soren's asleep so for one hour i'm going to read/nap/clean, etc. i mean, i get to go be on my own schedule for 5 days. go snorkling. get massages. drink fun, fruity, non-alcoholic drinks to my heart's content. swim with dolphins. get a tan in january. swim laps in the ocean (or in the pool--no doubt they'll have a nice one). oh my god is it january yet? and, happily, i have a month of goodness between now and then. turkey day tomorrow, my birthday around the corner, and then christmas with, of course, all the christmas festivities as a lead-up. it will be here before i know it! SWEET! and, thanks to all who helped me get there! and thanks to those who wanted to help but for one reason or another couldn't--after all, it's the thought that counts, right?!

so my crazy november is coming to a mellow end. i have only one party left, and nothing else to take up my time. well, that's not true, i suppose. i have to make my christmas cards, get caught-up in my scrapbooks i'm doing for christmas gifts, and make christmas cookies with my daughter (she got all the necessities for her birthday from a family member whose name i dare not mention lest it be cursed).

december, here i come.
