and in other news
okay, is it me or, does it not feel like turkey day tomorrow? i don't know what to do about it...it's my favorite holiday and it's going to come and go like it never existed. i need to get in some serious thanksgiving day mood...any suggestions? normally a nice glass of red would fix this, but seeing as how i'm laying low on the drinking for now...i'm fresh outta ideas.
on a better note, i am THRILLED to announce that i am only $245 away from earning my trip to the bahamas. basically, i've done it, because i'm still waiting on several orders from people. and even if they flaked, i'd spend the $245 to go to the bahamas for 5 days, 4 nights, getting there and staying there essentially for free. i am SO....DAMN...EXCITED. i cannot take my husband, which is the only lamentable fact in this story, but to be honest, i'm kind of excited to have some me time. i mean, REAL me time, not like, hey, soren's asleep so for one hour i'm going to read/nap/clean, etc. i mean, i get to go be on my own schedule for 5 days. go snorkling. get massages. drink fun, fruity, non-alcoholic drinks to my heart's content. swim with dolphins. get a tan in january. swim laps in the ocean (or in the pool--no doubt they'll have a nice one). oh my god is it january yet? and, happily, i have a month of goodness between now and then. turkey day tomorrow, my birthday around the corner, and then christmas with, of course, all the christmas festivities as a lead-up. it will be here before i know it! SWEET! and, thanks to all who helped me get there! and thanks to those who wanted to help but for one reason or another couldn't--after all, it's the thought that counts, right?!
so my crazy november is coming to a mellow end. i have only one party left, and nothing else to take up my time. well, that's not true, i suppose. i have to make my christmas cards, get caught-up in my scrapbooks i'm doing for christmas gifts, and make christmas cookies with my daughter (she got all the necessities for her birthday from a family member whose name i dare not mention lest it be cursed).
december, here i come.
