the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes 'awww!'

a day in the life of

i was called in to work tonight unexpectedly. i was expecting to have all day to pack for my upcoming trip; got some laundry done, but that's about it. then i had to go to work. i just got home, and still i'm not packing. am i a procrastinator? i hate packing. i hate it with a passion. even if it's just packing for a few days. i'd like to be packing to move, because that would mean we've finally succeeded in purchasing a house which, by the way, isn't going to happen anytime soon. we will continue to throw our money into the big, black hole known as rent. oh well.
sunday is our one-year anniversary. i really cannot believe we've been married a whole year. it went by pretty fast and was pretty intense. i'd have to say, though, that we've come through it with flying colors. whatever the hell that means. we'll be spending the anniversary in rifle with the in-laws. should be a
fan-TASTIC time.
monday i head to idaho. i'm pretty excited to revisit some spots, although i'm pretty annoyed that 2 out of the 4 friends with whom i'm expecting to spend most of my time have not bothered to return calls/emails. at least i know curt & gigi will have mucho bottles of vino to be consumed and a couch to swallow me whole. my husband isn't going, so that means soren and i get to spend 9 hours straight in a car together. i hope she doesn't freak out. i hope I don't freak out.
i thought i wasn't tired but i guess i am, and this is boring ME, not to even think about how much it's boring you. so that's it for now.
